Do not sell my personal information

Your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with rights regarding how your data or personal information is treated. Under the legislation, California residents can choose to opt out of the “sale” of their personal information to third parties. Based on the CCPA definition, “sale” refers to data collection for the purpose of creating advertising and other communications. Learn more about CCPA and your privacy rights.

When I think of the "sale" of personal information, I think of selling customer lists. That's definitely something I never ever would do. Ever. Because eew.

However, based on the CCPA definition, even if I take data I've collected about you (even if it's data that you've voluntarily given) and I use that to create advertising or other communications with you, that counts as "selling" your personal information. As I explain in my privacy policy, I may sometimes use your data in this way. And if you're in California, you have the right to opt out of that.
